Whatever the substrate, the approach is the same: we don't attempt to cover problems under a thin film of paint. For exteriors, we apply a comprehensive stucco finish to establish a perfectly uniform texture and porosity. Indoors, rather than adding to a patchwork of superficial repairs, we skim-coat the entire surface to achieve a seamless, pristine plane. Stucco

Stucco is the skin of a Southern California home — and it shows every shortcut, breach, or resulting form of erosion. We repair, resurface, and refinish stucco so the texture reads as one surface, corner to corner, then coat it with materials that stretch instead of crack and repel instead of erode.

Skim Coating

When a wall has been patched too many times, paint can't save it. Skim coating can: a thin, sprayed layer of compound across the entire surface, made smooth to erase the history — every patch, every texture mismatch — leaving a plane that looks replaced, not repaired. This is the heart of "we resurface, we don't patch."

Stains

Semi-transparent stains, while offering the least protection from the sun, do an excellent job of revealing the natural beauty of wood. The pigments of paint actually do a much better job of protecting against sunlight — which is why we sometimes recommend solid-color stains on exteriors. You still get that woodsy feel, without the risky sun exposure and an accelerated maintenance schedule.

Plaster

Plaster rewards patience and punishes shortcuts. And patience is the key: whether it's repairing original plaster or finishing new work, we bring it back smooth and true — keeping the character of the wall without keeping its cracks. We generally finish by spraying the plaster onto the surface and smoothing it with specialized smoothing blades.
